As we watch the one sided death toll of the “war” in Palestine—1,500 Palestinians to 64 Israelis in 3 weeks—and wonder why America just gave Israel another $235,000,000 of taxpayers money to defend against the constant missiles being shot into their country, we must ask the question: who are these Hamas people Israel needs so much help from the West defending against?
As we’ve gone over, Hamas is the government, or at least they are trying to be, of the Gaza Strip. Israel and its supporters—Canada, the US, the UK, to name a few—consider Hamas a terrorist network who they feel needs to be destroyed completely before they destroy the State of Israel—the Western media spreads this message directly and indirectly every day.
There are a few problems with this though. For one, Hamas is the democratically elected government—they won an election to be where they are; and for another, Hamas is a creation, funded and trained by Israel itself.
“The West’s sponsorship of Islamic terrorism is nothing new. After the collapse of the Ottoman Empire in 1924, the British and Americans filled the vacuum by providing their own versions of “Islamic” leaders. This started with the creation of the Muslim Brotherhood through a grant from the British. Under British sponsorship, the Brotherhood today represents a powerful force in the Islamic world, and is behind almost every act of terror in the name of Islam.” –David Livingstone, Dr. Henry Makow, (9/6/11).
As is becoming more commonly known every day, the Western empires have been using the Muslim Brotherhood, and offshoots of it, to cause chaos in the Middle East since its inception—overthrowing governments, staging coups, acts of terror, etc.. Hamas is no exception:
“Beginning in 1967 through the late 1980s, Israel helped the Muslim Brotherhood establish itself in the occupied territories. It assisted Ahmed Yassin, the leader of the Brotherhood, in creating Hamas, betting that its Islamist character would weaken the PLO…During the 1980s, the Muslim Brotherhood in Gaza and the West Bank did not support resistance to the Israeli occupation. Most of its energy went to fighting the PLO.” –Robert Dreyfuss, Devil’s Game: How the United States Helped Unleash Fundamentalist Islam.
The PLO was the Palestine Liberation Organization, which, run by Yasser Arafat, was a little too concerned with letting the people of Palestine control their own destiny without foreign influence for the West to let them stick around. The mainstream media, of course, doesn’t let this fact out too much, if ever. The other man in the above quote, Ahmed Yassin, was the official founder of Hamas. After being arrested and sentenced to 13 years in prison in 1983, he was suddenly released after serving only one year to become the leader of a Western backed terrorist network.
The fact of the matter is, as it always seems to be, the men we are told are terrorists were created by the men who labelled them as such, and are under constant offensive attack. This is backed by a comment made in the late 80’s by Arafat himself:
“Hamas is a creation of Israel, which at the time of Prime Minister Shamir, gave them money and more than 700 institutions, among them schools, universities and mosques.”
The creation of Hamas was a literal bribe to create terrorists. Poor people were used to ruin their own country with the promise of schools, mosques, hospitals, and universities—all affordable things that could have, and should have, been built out the kindness of the West’s hearts, but instead were only given for a trade of generations worth of lost souls, human rights, and peace of mind. As New York Times reporter, David Shipler, was once quoted to say:
“Israeli military governor of the Gaza Strip, Brigadier General Yitzhak Segev, once told me how he had financed the Islamic movement as a counterweight to the PLO and the Communists. ‘The Israeli Government gave me a budget and the military government gives to the mosques,’ he said.”
Al Qaeda, the Taliban, Isis, Hamas, it doesn’t matter; they’re all created by the same people who call them terrorists. Are they terrorists? Yes, definitely, they have been responsible for many atrocious acts—but they are intentional acts, and not by the ones committing them so much as the ones training them to do them. The war is meant to be fought, maintained, continuous, confusing, terrifying, and expensive. “Terrorist” groups are, at the present time, simply around so Western governments can keep pointing their fingers at someone nobody knows and saying, “Look! Them there! They’re the bad guys!” This directs our attention off the real terrorists; the ones creating all of this bullshit in the first place; the ones we pay our tax dollars to to do it; and the spineless media which supports them and trumpets their war song with smiles on their faces.
